IMS database reorg is essential for maintaining optimal performance and availability of IMS applications. IMS administrators face increasing challenges on timing and methods for reorganizing their databases. This session reviews the factors that influence a reorg decision and what tools can help to inform DBAs. We will demonstrate how to use these tools to monitor database health, identify reorg candidates, and execute reorg jobs.
