In this session we'll discuss the decisions in the process of building an HA /DR environment with container workloads in Red Hat OpenShift. The variations start with the type of storage for the infrastructure components and container workload and is going through all layers of network^ hypervisor and container applications. The landscape can vary from one single hardware machine to multiple machines in multiple Datacenters in different distances.

In this session the speakers will provide you a methodology and resources so that organizations can build either or both their Cybersecurity Framework and/or a Governance Plan that is specific to the z/OS Mainframe inclusive of all three ESMs and they will talk about the value that the creation of these documents will bring to the organization.

Ansible is gaining popularity for automating provisioning and deployment on the mainframe. In this session we will take a closer look at how to interact with Db2 for z/OS using Ansible: running Db2 utilities, commands, provisioning schemas, deploying schemas, and much more. IBM Z has a 40+ year history in security and cryptography starting with the design of the Lucifer cipher in 1974 (which became the Data Encryption Standard, DES algorithm) to today, with enablement of Quantum Safe Cryptography for the IBM z16. IBM z16 introduces new capabilities in IBM Z hardware, operating systems and middleware to provide quantum safe encryption and more. This session will cover new features in the IBM z16 Crypto Ecosystem, including z/OS Cryptographic Services (ICSF), in support of data protection.
